		Dance Music... Designed To Fail? Volume 1
		The Bottom Dwellers There is an abundance of people in our dance music community who I refer to as "bottom dwellers". These people are the opportunists who serve no other purpose than to benefit off of your labors without any regards to you as a person. They are self preservationists whose sole purpose it is to turn a quick buck for themselves. These people occur at all levels of this business and are largely the reason that dance music has not exploded on to the scene like everyone had hoped.


	MP3 & The Internet The best thing and the worst thing to happen to dance music all compressed into one downloadable bombshell is the MP3. Did you know that Dance Music MP3s are the most downloaded genre? Why is that? (Try to get your record into a record store and you'll understand where I'm coming from.) If you own a computer, it's extremely likely that these little freebies are residing on your hard drive as we speak. Simply put, MP3s rob labels and artists of income that they so desperately need in order to continue forward. Rule #1; people log onto the Internet to download music, not purchase it.
