NAJM Dance Club Reviews - The Bar Room- South Beach, Florida

		The Bar Room Lincoln Road, South Beach, Florida Bar Room is one of those elitist South Beach clubs you’ve heard about, that seems to be terribly trendy and popular amongst celebrities, but you never really know why? Perhaps the reason for this clubs success is due in part to their successful PR campaign (Lizzy Grubman) funded by very deep pockets. Bar Room is basically another club by the infamous Chris Pacello (Liquid), who when he’s not launching nightclub ventures, is dealing with criminal allegations. The layout of the club is standard. The club occupies a single rectangular cube in a row of trendy shops on South Beach’s Lincoln Road. The main fare offered up at Bar Room is the large rectangular dance hall flanked by bars. This area seems to occupy the majority of the space. A temporary raised platform can be set up at the front to accommodate live performances.

The DJ booth is tucked away up above the dnace floor on the left hand side, and is terribly inaccessible. Two huge crystal chandeliers hang above the dance floor and provide a glamorous air to the place. The décor is very dark and elegantly simple. A small balcony overlooking the dance floor occupies the front of the club, and a VIP area claims the back of the club (probably to accommodate quick exists out the back door). These VIP areas are my least favorite aspects of clubs, as they tend to piss off far more people than they end up serving. Overall the space is efficiently laid out and extremely easy to navigate, although seemingly cramped in some areas. The club is South Beach trendy, so be prepared for a wait to get in.
